New Delhi: Chief of Defence Staff (CDS) and Secretary, Department of Military Affairs, General N. S. Raja Subramani, paid a courtesy call on Minister of State for Defence Sanjay Seth in New Delhi on July 16, 2026, during which the two leaders reviewed key aspects of India’s defence preparedness and military modernisation.
The meeting focused on the prevailing security environment and ongoing efforts to strengthen jointness and integration among the three armed forces. Discussions also covered capability development, operational preparedness and measures being undertaken to enhance the effectiveness of the country’s defence forces.
The interaction further reviewed the progress of ongoing defence reforms aimed at modernising the military and reinforcing India’s overall defence capabilities to effectively address evolving security challenges. The meeting underscored the government’s continued emphasis on building a more integrated, agile and technologically advanced armed force.
